Job: Technical Sales Engineer – Chicago/Midwest

Fresh off of our Series C equity financing and notoriety from Gartner’s Magic Quadrant the only “Visionary” in the third party risk management space, Prevalent is expanding nationwide and we need sales savvy, technical guru’s to support our existing outside sales reps.
Technical Sales Engineer- 3rd Party Risk Specialist Responsibilities:
Providing product demonstrations on-site and remote, facilitating technical sales workshops, and conducting proof of concept engagements
Acting as a technical lead in support of sales opportunities
Scoping field customization’s and delivering functional specifications for integrations to third party systems as part of the pre-sales process.
Demonstrating core technologies and answering detailed technical questions about product capability and delivery infrastructure. Ability to adjust conversation to fit the distinct needs of the key stakeholders and executive leadership
Persuading prospects that Prevalent software and services will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality and delivery
Providing training and producing support material for the sales team
Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Support multiple Account Executives and provide expertise based coverage for out of territory opportunities
Ideal candidate will possess…
4-6 years experience in software sales and services in a field facing sales capacity
Working knowledge of compliance to various regulations and frameworks such as PCI-DSS, N.I.S.T, ISO, HIPAA, etc., computer and network security best practices, and an advanced understanding computer networking
Security Generalist and/or Audit experience with exposure to GRC platforms and general Risk Assessment methodologies.
Ability to maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, team environment while managing multiple competing priorities
Ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) including experience responding to RFIs/RFPs
Highly organized and driven by success
Entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning
A “can do” attitude with aptitude for learning technology independently
Strong time management skills with proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, and web based applications
Ability to travel up to 30% with occasional overnights required, valid US drivers license
Associates Degree (Computer Science or related a plus)
Desired Certifications:
1. Candidate should possess one or more of the following security certifications.
a. Any ISACA Certifications i.e. CISSP, CISA, CISM
b. Shared Assessments CTPRP
